The official website of hip-hop trio Home Made Kazoku announced on Tuesday that the group is ending its decade-long hiatus. They have also re-signed with Sony’s Ki/oon Music label, marking a fresh start.
Home Made Kazoku consists of members Micro, Kuro, and DJ U-Ichi. The group originally formed in 1996 under a different name before settling on its current one in 2001. They made their major debut in 2004 with the mini-album Oooh! Yeah! on Ki/oon Music.
In August 2016, the band announced they would go on an indefinite hiatus by the end of that year, stating they wanted to “grow individually and take on new challenges” and pursue solo careers. On April 19, the band shared plans to participate in four events during Summer 2026.
Home Made Kazoku is well known among anime fans for performing theme songs for Bleach, Naruto: Shippuuden, and Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven.
