The highly acclaimed “Mutsumi Inomata Retrospective” is set to tour Osaka and Aichi after a triumphant debut in Yokohama. The exhibition, which originally ran in December 2025 as the first major posthumous showcase of the legendary artist, drew massive crowds and widespread acclaim.
Responding to popular demand, the retrospective will be held at Dojima River Forum (Osaka) from July 11 to July 20, 2026, and at Albe Hall Nagoya (Aichi) from October 9 to October 18, 2026.
Over 120 Original Works, Including Never-Before-Seen Pieces
Just like the Yokohama venue, the traveling exhibition will display more than 120 vibrant analog original paintings and manga manuscripts spanning Inomata’s illustrious career—covering anime, novels, games, and original creations. For the first time, previously unpublished works will also be on view. Visitors can admire the fine linework, delicate brushstrokes, and striking three-dimensionality that only original art can deliver.
Exclusive Merchandise and High-Quality Prints
Alongside the artworks, the venue will sell new original goods and high-quality print editions titled “88graph,” which are planned and produced entirely by EDITION88.
Visitor Bonus
Attendees at both the Osaka and Nagoya venues will receive a clear file with an art card featuring a first-revealed original illustration. The card comes in eight randomly distributed designs, each in A5 size.
