The official website for the original anime movie The Ribbon Hero revealed the lead cast, additional staff, a key visual, and the first trailer on Tuesday. The film, based on Osamu Tezuka‘s Ribbon no Kishi manga, is scheduled to premiere worldwide exclusively on Netflix on August 8.
Comedian LALANDE and Raisan vocalist Saya stars as the lead character Sapphire.

Yuuki Igarashi (Star Wars: Visions) is directing the anime at Outline. Issei Arakaki (Vlad Love) is adapting the original character design by Kei Mochizuki.
Tezuka serialized the adventure fantasy manga in Shoujo Club magazine from January 1953 to January 1956. Kodansha published the third and final volume in June 1958.
Produced by Mushi Production, a television adaptation of the manga aired in 52 episodes from Spring 1967 to Spring 1968.
