VTuber and virtual liver Joe Rikiichi, a member of the Nijisanji project, digitally released his first new single in approximately two years, “OBF,” on May 26, 2026, at midnight. Alongside the release, the music video for the track was also unveiled, immediately drawing significant attention from fans.
The song was created with the theme of “a festival inside your head even in everyday life.” It captures the exhilaration of suddenly feeling cheerful in a moment that breaks through the boredom of routine. Joe Rikiichi wrote the lyrics himself, infusing the track with his characteristic blend of humor, mischief, and earnest emotion through his unique word choice.
The composition and arrangement were handled by Hainomi. Despite its short runtime of about two minutes, the track is addictive and invites repeated listens. Joe Rikiichi commented, “I’ve made a foolish yet earnest festival song to make the heavy routine of daily life bounce a little. I hope you enjoy it and sway your body to the beat.”
