In celebration of Proposal Day on June 7, streaming service ABEMA has highlighted three anime featuring unforgettable marriage proposals. The selection includes Gotoubun no Hanayome, Sword Art Online, and SPY×FAMILY – all currently available to watch on ABEMA.

Gotoubun no Hanayome*
Based on the romantic comedy manga by Haruba Negi serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine, Gotoubun no Hanayome follows high school student Uesugi Fuutarou as he becomes the tutor for the Nakano quintuplets, deepening his relationship with each sister. The series features a memorable proposal scene where Fuutarou faces his own feelings and delivers a straightforward confession to one of the sisters. The culmination of their long-nurtured bond left a deep impression on many fans.
Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is based on the light novel series by Kawahara Reki published under Dengeki Bunko. It tells the story of protagonist Kirito, trapped inside a next-generation VRMMORPG, fighting to escape the death game. The deepening relationship between Kirito and Asuna is a key draw. In Episode 10, Kirito conveys his feelings to Asuna in a proposal scene that has become one of the series’ most iconic moments.
