Keroro Gunsō and Gundam Officially Collab as New Film Reveals Gundam Mk-II Keroro-Style Model Kit and Illustrations

The first official collaboration between Keroro Gunsō and Mobile Suit Gundam is here, timed to the release of the new theatrical film Shin Gekijōban☆Keroro Gunsō: Fukkatsu Shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki de Arimasu! — the first new Keroro movie in 16 years. The film opens in Japan on June 26, 2026.

A newly released clip from the film shows the Keroro Platoon facing a mysterious invader and being overwhelmed, when suddenly a Gundam appears to turn the tide. However, a red Char’s Zaku quickly blocks the way, setting up a mecha showdown.

Alongside the footage, two special collaboration illustrations have been revealed.

Original Keroro Gunsō creator Yoshizaki Mine drew an homage to the Mobile Suit Gundam theatrical trilogy, while
Gundam character designer Yasuhiko Yoshikazu contributed a piece showing Amuro, Char, and Keroro linking arms.

Collaboration Model Kits

To mark the collaboration, two new model kits will be released. The Keroro Robo Mk-II arrives in Titans colors, priced at 2,200 yen (tax included) and launching on June 26.
In addition, the RG 1/144 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II will be offered in a Keroro-themed variant via Premium Bandai’s Hobby Online Shop, with further details to be announced.
