“Nuikatsu” (plushie activity) items themed around “Fresh Vegetables” will go on sale at Thank You Mart stores nationwide starting mid-July, on a first-come, first-served basis as stock arrives.
In recent years, the culture of enjoying stuffed animals as daily comfort and self-expression partners—known as “nuikatsu”—has spread. Among these trends, styles that involve accessorizing plushies with small items and fashion pieces, or taking them on outings and photo sessions, have garnered particular attention among Generation Z.
This new series takes “Fresh Vegetables” as its theme, featuring familiar vegetables like eggplant, carrot, and broccoli as motifs. With cute designs that are sure to bring a smile, the series aims to make outings and photo shoots with your plushie even more colorful and Instagram-worthy.
The lineup includes 12 items, all priced at 390 yen (tax included 429 yen). Products include “plushie costumes” that can be dressed on your plushie, “plushie mats” for setting up photo scenes, and “plushie pouches” designed like vegetable packaging—all handy for photography. Your favorite plushie can be transformed to look as if it were lined up in a field or at a farmers’ market.
