Manga ‘Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo’ Gets TV Anime Adaptation in 2027

Publisher Kodansha announced a TV anime adaptation of Uzuki Coco‘s manga Koiseyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo (Fall in Love, You False Angels) on Thursday, revealing a commemorative illustration by Uzuki. The anime is set to premiere in 2027.

Uzuki began serializing the shoujo romance manga in April 2023 in Kodansha’s magazine Dessert. The seventh volume shipped on June 12. The manga has reached 2.25 million copies in circulation worldwide.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in March 2024 and released the fourth volume in December 2025. The fifth volume is scheduled for release on June 23.

The series ranked 18th in the 2024 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Female readers division, climbing to fifth in 2025, and placed 15th in 2026. It won the 49th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shoujo category in 2025 and was nominated for the 71st Shogakukan Manga Award.

Synopsis

First-year class president Otogi Katsura plays the role of a pristine and gracious girl, as she has always known what people expect of a beauty like herself. The only one who rivals her in appearance and charm is vice president Toki Ninomae, whose impeccable manners make him seem like her perfect match. Katsura suspects Ninomae also wears a mask, and her suspicions are confirmed when she accidentally reveals her sharp-tongued side. Encouraged, Ninomae drops his polite facade to show his brusque, cool nature. From then on, the two begin to shed their false angel disguises and lower their guard around each other, slowly falling in love.
