Anime Natsume Yuujinchou scene photo bromides are now available as new content from IID’s “Entertainment Print” service. The bromides feature scenes from the episodes “Mizusoko no Tsubame” and “Itsuka Kuru Hi” that will be performed at the music reading drama SOUND THEATRE×Natsume Yuujinchou ~Ongeki no Shou Natsugasumi~ on July 18, 2026. Sales begin June 24 at 12:00.
What is Natsume Yuujinchou?
Natsume Yuujinchou is a TV anime based on the manga by Yuki Midorikawa, serialized in Hakusensha’s Monthly LaLa with over 18 million copies in print. It follows Takashi Natsume, a boy who has been able to see yokai since childhood, as he inherits his grandmother Reiko’s “Book of Friends” and returns names to the yokai bound within it, accompanied by his self-proclaimed bodyguard, Nyanko-sensei. The story depicts a beautiful and fleeting tale of humans and yokai.

The anime began airing on TV Tokyo in 2008, celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023, and the seventh season Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi aired from October 2024.

“Entertainment Print” is a service that allows users to purchase and print bromides and other content from various genres—including anime, games, and voice actors—via multi-copy machines installed at convenience stores nationwide. Participating stores include FamilyMart, Lawson, and Ministop (excluding some locations). Users operate the multi-copy machine at the store, select “All Content” from the menu, choose “Entertainment Print” from the service list, agree to the terms, and input the content number of the desired product to print.
Two lineups of Natsume Yuujinchou bromides are now available. They feature nostalgic scenes and memorable characters from the same episodes that will be performed in the music reading drama: “Mizusoko no Tsubame” (Season 1, Episode 6) and “Itsuka Kuru Hi” (Season 6, Episode 8).
The “Natsume Yuujinchou Scene Photo Bromides” for “Mizusoko no Tsubame” and “Itsuka Kuru Hi” are available in two sizes. Prices (tax included) are 300 yen for L-size and 400 yen for 2L-size. Sales run from June 24, 2026 at 12:00 to October 31, 2026 at 23:59.

This event marks the first Natsume Yuujinchou music reading drama in approximately eight years. “SOUND THEATRE” is an “image theatre” that combines reading with stage art, lighting, live music, and other elements that stimulate the five senses. The cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Takashi Natsume, Kazuhiko Inoue as Nyanko-sensei/Madara, as well as Ryohei Kimura, Hisayoshi Suganuma, Ryoka Yuzuki, Daisuke Ono, and Mikako Komatsu, among others. An after-talk will be held after the evening performance.
The performance will take place on July 18, 2026 at Tokyo International Forum Hall A, with two shows: daytime (doors 13:00, start 14:00) and evening (doors 17:30, start 18:30). The program includes two acts: Act 1 is the sound theatre version of “Mizusoko no Tsubame” and Act 2 is the sound theatre version of “Itsuka Kuru Hi.” Both shows feature the same program.
