Select items from the “Rilakkuma Denim House” and “Sumikko Gurashi Denim House” collections have gone on sale at the official brand online store, T-CHARACTER STORE.
Rilakkuma is a bear character created by San-X. The stop-motion anime Rilakkuma and Kaoru-san streamed on Netflix in 2019, and a sequel, Rilakkuma and the Amusement Park, was announced in 2022. From April 2026, a new TV anime Rilakkuma produced by Production I.G has been airing.
“Sumikko Gurashi” debuted in 2012 with the keyword “I feel at home here.” The characters’ slightly negative and surreal charm has won over a wide audience. Whether on trains or in cafés, many people instinctively gravitate toward corner seats—a sentiment the Sumikko characters embody.
The “Rilakkuma Denim House” and “Sumikko Gurashi Denim House” stores, primarily located in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, and Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, operate under the concept of “playing with fashion through stylish, cute character denim.” They offer original products that incorporate the unique appeal of Kurashiki, a town known for denim.
The online sale was launched in response to requests from fans who live far away or find it difficult to visit physical stores.
The lineup features original designs that combine Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi characters with denim. Items include denim-textured goods, embroidery, and patch-style art pieces—easy to use in daily life and appealing to adult fans as well.
Additional popular items such as pouches, bags, and small accessories from the physical stores are also expected to be added to the online selection.
