The summer anime Kurebatesu II: The Beast King and the False Hero Legend has released a synopsis and preview cuts for its first episode, titled “Sorsein Theological School” (Dai Ichi Maku: Shingakkou Sorusein), which begins airing on July 8, 2026.
The series is based on the manga by Iwahara Yuuji, serialized on LINE Manga. The first season aired from July to September 2025. The second season continues under director Taguchi Kiyotaka, known for his work on the Ultraman series and other tokusatsu productions, making his anime directorial debut with the first season. Animation production is handled by Lay-duce. Returning cast members include Shiraishi Haruka as Alicia, Tamura Mutsumi as Kuren, and Nakamura Yuuichi as Kurebatesu.
After the war between Heiden and Boret ended with Alicia defeating General Dorel, a three-nation conference was held. The point of contention was the “secret room” left behind by Dorel. Envoys from various countries begin to visit the Sorsein Theological School in Boret. Among them is Kuren, who has become Luna’s personal magic teacher.
Episode 1 (First Act): “Sorsein Theological School”
After a long battle, Queen Mother Toara of Heiden is reunited with her son Luna. Kuren and his party are rewarded by Toara for protecting Luna, and Kuren is appointed as Luna’s personal magic teacher as he wished.
However, Luna’s education will not begin until he turns three. For the next two years, Kuren will attend Sorsein Theological School together with Alicia.
The first episode of Kurebatesu II will air on July 8, 2026, on 27 stations nationwide.
