The 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking, an annual fan-voted popularity contest, saw a record-breaking total of 70,647,379 votes — 112% of last year’s count. Pompompurin secured first place with over 7 million votes, marking its second consecutive win and fifth overall title in the character’s 30th anniversary year.
Cinnamoroll, who led the initial preliminary rankings, finished second, followed by Pochacco in third, Kuromi in fourth, and Hello Kitty in fifth. The results reflect the enduring global love for these beloved characters.
