Pokémon 30th Anniversary Festival at Namco Brings Giant Plushies, Exclusive Sun Visors, and More

The Pokémon 30th anniversary celebration continues with a new event at Namco arcades across Japan. Titled “Pokémon Anniversary Festival in ナムコ,” the campaign will run from July 24 to October 25, 2026, offering a variety of crane game prizes, original goods, and special in-store experiences.

Giant Plushies for Crane Games

Throughout the event period, a lineup of oversized plushies will appear as crane game prizes. These include the “Mechamofu Gutto” series: an Eevee Friends Eevee (nap ver.), a Gengar, a Pikachu (surprised ver.), and a Snorlax from the “Mechamofu Hokkori Iyaseru” line. All are big enough for a satisfying hug.

Original Sun Visor and Namco Lottery

At participating Namco locations, visitors can receive an original sun visor featuring Captain Pikachu from the TV anime. From September 14, a new bonus item is planned. Additionally, spending 500 yen on a designated crane game machine enters players into the “Namco Lottery,” where they can win original goods such as a large clear pouch with handles, a clear tumbler, a bead strap with acrylic parts, and a holographic sticker. New lottery goods will also debut from September 14.

Flagship Stores with Exclusive Content

Four Namco locations will become Pokémon flagship stores for the anniversary: Yokohama World Porters, AEON MALL KYOTO, Hakata Bus Terminal, and Sapporo Factory. Each will feature a dedicated “Pokémon Get Challenge! Corner” with crane games, plus exclusive bonuses and a stamp rally.

At these flagship stores, visitors can receive an original sun visor with a design unique to each location. The visors feature the classic starter trios from each generation: Yokohama gets Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle, Kyoto gets Chikorita/Cyndaquil/Totodile, Hakata gets Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip, and Sapporo gets Turtwig/Chimchar/Piplup. New bonuses will arrive from September 14.

The stamp rally uses a special sheet available at the flagship stores. Collecting three stamps placed around the store earns participants an original clear file with a 30th anniversary sticker in the anime Pokémon (Anipoke) design. The clear file artwork changes periodically, so fans can aim for their favorite version.

The “Pokémon Anniversary Festival in ナムコ” runs from July 24 to October 25, 2026, at Namco amusement facilities nationwide. For full details, visit the official website.
