The Sanrio Kids Festival is coming to Sogo Omiya store from July 17 to July 27, 2026. Held on the 7th floor event space, the festival offers a wide range of family-friendly activities including a play school with crafts and games, a gift shop full of cute goods, and a SANRIO CAFE serving character-themed sweets.
This year’s event follows the results of the 2026 Sanrio Character Grand Prix, which saw a record-breaking total of 70,647,379 votes—112% of last year’s count. Pompompurin took first place for the fifth time overall and second consecutive year, celebrating its 30th anniversary with over 7 million votes. Cinnamoroll came in second, followed by Pochacco in third, Kuromi in fourth, and Hello Kitty in fifth.
Play School: Crafts and Games for Kids
The play school is designed for elementary school children and younger. A play ticket set costs 2,000 yen and includes four tickets plus a shopping bag.
Activities include:
- Craft Decoration Cake Making – Choose a favorite character and decorate a cake with stickers to take home.
- Kuromi Boutique Accessory Making – Try vinyl baked painting.
- Tulip Field Sand Art – Create sand art in a tulip field theme.
- Kero Kero Keroppi’s Donut Pond – Enjoy mascot scooping and water ball games.
- Cinnamoroll’s House on the Clouds – Make your own can badges.
- Badtz-Maru’s Game Center – Play fun games.
Gift Shop and Exclusive Bonus
At the Sanrio Character Gift Shop inside the venue, customers who spend 2,200 yen or more (tax included) on a single receipt will receive an original acrylic keychain as a limited gift. The offer is first-come, first-served, one per transaction.
SANRIO CAFE
The SANRIO CAFE will be serving adorable character-themed sweets. Menu items include:
- Drink: 800 yen
- Donut: 350 yen
- Crepe: 800 yen
- Dojima Roll: 650 yen
Exclusive Capsule Toys
Kids Festival exclusive capsule toys feature characters from “Super Cute Adventures” as can badges for the first time. These limited designs are only available at the festival. Each play costs 300 yen, and guests can use the machine up to five times per visit.
