A collaboration between the TV anime Blue Lock and kimono rental service VASARA has announced a line of women’s yukata sets under the project “Blue Lock × VASARA ～YUKATA SELECTION～”. Sales begin on August 1, 2026 (Saturday) at 12:00 JST on the official VASARA online store.
Blue Lock is based on the soccer manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro (story) and Yuusuke Nomura (art), serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows the “Blue Lock” project established by the Japan Football Union to develop a striker who can lead Japan to a World Cup victory, gathering 300 high school forwards from across the country to compete in a fierce survival game. The series has gained massive popularity for its innovative premise, egoistic characters, and unpredictable plot. The TV anime started in 2022, followed by a theatrical film in 2024, a smartphone game, a stage play, and a live-action film scheduled for release on August 7, 2026. A new TV anime series has also been announced.
To commemorate VASARA’s 10th anniversary, this collaboration features yukata sets inspired by six characters: Yoichi Isagi, Rin Itoshi, Seishiro Nagi, Meguru Bachira, Hyoma Chigiri, and Yo Hiori. Each set includes a yukata, obi, obidome, and hair ornament, with designs incorporating each character’s personality and favorite things. Only 50 sets per character will be sold.
Yoichi Isagi Image Yukata Set
The Yoichi Isagi image yukata set features a design based on the jigsaw puzzle motif that symbolizes Isagi’s process of reconstructing himself in the story. The obidome and hair ornament also incorporate jigsaw puzzle elements, while the obi is a simple design using the character’s color.
Seishiro Nagi Image Yukata Set
The Seishiro Nagi set uses a design featuring his favorite prickly pear cactus. The obi has a sloth embroidery in the character’s color, the obidome is a ceramic sloth motif, and the hair ornament is inspired by cactus flowers.
Rin Itoshi Image Yukata Set
The Rin Itoshi set is based on the newly drawn illustration, with a black vertical line base and lily flowers at the hem. The obi is simple in character color, and the obidome and hair ornament feature his favorite animal, the owl.
Meguru Bachira Image Yukata Set
The Meguru Bachira set arranges a feminine check pattern in white and light blue based on the illustration. The obi and obidome incorporate his favorite pineapple, and the hair ornament is also pineapple-themed.
Hyoma Chigiri Image Yukata Set
The Hyoma Chigiri set features a design with matatabi (silver vine) leaves on the yukata. The obi has a black cat motif and character color, the obidome is a ceramic cat paw, and the hair ornament features three cats.
Yo Hiori Image Yukata Set
The Yo Hiori set uses snowflake designs on both yukata and obi, inspired by the illustration. The obidome is a ceramic sheep (because Hiori likes sheep and his name means “sheep”), and the hair ornament also features snowflakes for a unified look.
The “TV Anime Blue Lock × Kimono Rental VASARA Women’s Yukata Set” is limited to 50 sets per character, priced at 55,000 yen (tax included). Shipments are scheduled to begin from mid-August 2026.
