The beloved digital pet franchise Tamagotchi is getting a sweet new collaboration with the “CHOCOBOX” series. The “Tamagotchi Choco Box Box Figure Collection” will launch at mass retailers’ snack sections across Japan in December 2026, priced at 385 yen (tax included).

Tamagotchi first debuted on November 23, 1996, as a digital pet from Bandai, sparking a massive craze among high school girls. After a revival in 2004 with the infrared-equipped “Kaettekita! Tamagotchi Plus,” the series has expanded globally with new features and gameplay. As of the end of July 2025, cumulative worldwide shipments have reached 100 million units.

This new product is part of the “CHOCOBOX” line. The lower box contains crispy chocolate-covered biscuits (16g), while the upper box holds a box-shaped figure charm featuring designs of various Tamagotchi characters.
The lineup includes 11 types in total, with one secret variant. The characters are:
- Mametchi
- Kuchipatchi
- Mimitchi
- Babymarutchi
- Myaotchi
- Hohotchi
- Irukatchi
- Ginjirotchi
- Okojyotchi
- Parorotchi
