Fashion brand MAYLA, known for its tagline “Your body temperature rises by 2°C,” has unveiled a new line of hair accessories inspired by the world of the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The “Kimetsu no Yaiba Iconic Hair Objet Majeste Kanzashi + Multi Charm” collection features six character models: Kamado Tanjiro, Tomioka Giyu, Rengoku Kyojuro, Uzui Tengen, Tokito Muichiro, and Shinazugawa Sanemi. Pre-orders begin on July 31, 2026, at 17:00 JST.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, published by Shueisha in Jump Comics. The series has sold over 220 million copies worldwide. It follows the story of a young boy, Kamado Tanjiro, whose family is slaughtered by demons and whose sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to fight demons and find a cure for his sister. The anime is produced by ufotable, starting with the television series in April 2019. The theatrical film trilogy Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is currently in release; Chapter 1: Akaza Strikes Back opened on July 18, 2025, and as of April 9, 2026, had drawn 27,455,968 viewers and earned ¥40.2 billion at the box office, making it the second highest-grossing film in Japanese history after the previous film Mugen Train. The Blu-ray and DVD of the first chapter went on sale July 29, 2026.
The new hair ornaments are designed with a fan-shaped silhouette that evokes a traditional Japanese aesthetic, fitting the historical setting of the series. Each piece includes a kanzashi (hairpin) styled after the character’s Nichirin Blade. When inserted into the majeste (the fan-shaped base), the curved lines representing the character’s “Breathing” technique spread from the fan to the blade. The accessories can be worn as hairpieces or attached to bags as charms, allowing for versatile styling.
