Dragon Quest is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a first-ever collaboration with gelato pique cafe, titled PIQUE CAFE encounters DRAGON QUEST. From August 7, 2026, the cafe chain will offer a lineup of fluffy crepes, floats, sundaes, and more, all inspired by the floating sky castle from the beloved RPG series.
The Dragon Quest series, which began in 1986 with the original Famicom title, has consistently evolved while maintaining its classic RPG feel. Now, in its 40th year, the franchise joins forces with gelato pique cafe for a dreamy, monster-filled dessert experience.
Menu Highlights
Slime Fluffy Sky Crepe (スライムのもこもこ天空クレープ) – This crepe is topped with a Slime-shaped chocolate and a cloud-like rare cheese mousse cream, evoking the sky castle. Inside the mousse, you’ll find lychee and berry gelato for a light, cool texture. The combination of sweet lychee and tangy raspberry creates a refreshing treat.
Fluffy Party Sky Soda Float (もこもこパーティの天空ソーダフロート) – A soda float topped with mousse cream and cute monaka wafers shaped like Dragon Quest monsters. The soda contains a smooth almond milk pudding, balancing sweetness with a refreshing fizz. Two flavors are available: lychee and berry.
Sky Castle Fluffy Sundae (天空城のもこもこサンデー) – A sundae based on almond milk pudding, layered with mango, pineapple, rare cheese mousse, and raspberry gelato. The tropical fruit sweetness and mild acidity complement the creamy pudding. Topped with a sky castle monaka wafer. Price: ¥1,080.

Store Decorations and Exclusive Items
During the collaboration period, the Shibuya Hikarie and Omotesando Hills locations will be transformed into Dragon Quest-themed spaces, featuring artwork of the series’ beloved monsters.
At Shibuya Hikarie, a special shaved ice dessert will be available: Sky Castle Fluffy Shaved Ice (天空城のもこもこかき氷), topped with milk cream and a sky castle monaka, drizzled with sweet condensed milk sauce.
At Omotesando Hills, guests can order a Character Art Latte with their choice of five designs: Slime, Dragon Kids & Moomon, Baby Satan & Kiramachine, Watahou & Konpeito, and Brownie & Baby Panther.
Freebies and Goods
With each purchase of a collaboration menu item, customers will receive one random limited original sticker (8 designs total) while supplies last.
Select gelato pique cafe stores will also sell collaboration goods under the theme “yume ga tsuzuku jikan” (a time when dreams continue). Items include a hand towel and tote bag featuring a pastel-colored Slime, available only at these locations.
