Fans of the iconic digital pet can soon collect a slice of Tamagotchi Planet life. Bandai has announced the “Pitatto Frame” biscuit-and-magnet set, releasing in January 2027 at general retailers nationwide in Japan.
The Tamagotchi franchise began on November 23, 1996, as a portable digital pet. After sparking a massive craze across Japan, new series with fresh features have been released both domestically and internationally, with cumulative worldwide shipments exceeding 103 million units as of March 2026 (Bandai survey). The latest model, “Tamagotchi Paradise,” launched in July 2025 and continues to be beloved around the world.
Now, the Pitatto Frame brings that world to life as a frame magnet. Each piece is about 1 cm thick, making them fun to collect and display. The set includes 14 different designs.
The characters featured on the magnets are: Mametchi, Mimitchi, Kuchipatchi, Memetchi, Gozarutchi, Ichigotchi, Shimashimatchi, Lovelitchi, Melodytchi, Furawatchi, and Kuromametchi.
Each package also contains a cheese-flavored biscuit printed with Tamagotchi character designs.
