Anime Haikyuu!! is teaming up with Meiji chocolate for a new collaboration that puts beloved characters in aprons. The special packages went on sale on July 21, 2026.
Haikyuu!! is a manga by Furudate Haruichi that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It follows high school boys who pour their青春 into volleyball. The TV anime began in 2014, and the film Gekijouban Haikyuu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen opened on February 16, 2024. In 2027, the movie Gekijouban Haikyuu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin (featuring Karasuno vs. Ougai) and the special anime Haikyuu!! Bakemono-tachi no Yuku Tokoro (covering Fukurodani vs. Nekoma) are scheduled.
This collaboration celebrates the 100th anniversary of Meiji Milk Chocolate on September 13. The idea is to connect the long history of chocolate with the story’s themes of connecting balls, bonds, and hopes for the future.
Handmade Chocolate Theme
The collaboration packages feature a “handmade chocolate” theme, with newly drawn illustrations of popular characters in aprons. The designs also include Apollo-chan characters wearing each school’s volleyball uniform.
The Haikyuu!! Collab Almond Chocolate comes in two designs featuring Kuroo and Kenma. The Haikyuu!! Collab Almond Aroma Cacao also has two designs with the Miya twins. The Haikyuu!! Collab Meiji Milk Chocolate BOX features Hinata, the Meiji High Milk BOX features Kageyama, and the Meiji Black Chocolate BOX features Tsukishima.
The Haikyuu!! Collab Apollo offers 10 designs: from Karasuno, Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi; from Nekoma, Kuroo, Kenma, and Yaku; and from Inarizaki, Miya Atsumu, Miya Osamu, and Kita.
The special site also features collaboration recipes inspired by animal mascots such as Hinagarasu, Nekomaneko, and Tsumusamukitsune.
Campaign: “Choco ga Areba Omae wa Saikyou da!!!”
A purchase campaign is underway. Buy 500 yen (excluding tax) or more of eligible products, upload a receipt to the entry form, and 819 winners will receive an original multi-cloth featuring the new illustrations.
