Final Volume 48 Release Date Announced
The final volume of Konomi Takeshi’s “Shin Tennis no Oujisama” is set to hit shelves on September 4, 2026. To celebrate the conclusion of the long-running manga series, Animate stores across Japan and Animate Online will host a special “Jump Comics Shin Tennis no Oujisama Completion Commemoration Fair” from September 4 to September 30.
Series History and Legacy
The series, which began as a sequel to the original “Tennis no Oujisama” that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999, has been serialized in Jump SQ. since 2009. Over the course of 27 years since the original manga’s debut, the franchise has expanded into TV anime, theatrical films, musicals, and video games, earning a devoted fanbase. Now, with the release of volume 48, the story will finally come to a close.
Commemoration Fair Bonus and Store Decorations
During the fair period, customers who purchase eligible products will receive one of six “Famous Scene Reversible Visual Boards” as a bonus. These boards feature iconic moments from the series, allowing fans to look back on the journey as they celebrate the final volume.
In addition, limited-time store decorations will be set up at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store and Animate Umeda. The Ikebukuro location will feature decorations on the stairs between the 2nd and 3rd floors of the North Building, the glass surfaces on the 2nd floor of the South Building, and a mini museum on the 2nd floor. The Umeda store will decorate the glass surfaces of its escalators.
