
The official website for the Ao Ashi television anime has revealed additional staff and the first promotional video. The sequel, which adapts Yuugo Kobayashi’s sports manga, is set to premiere on October 4 at 5:00 p.m. on NHK-E.

Rock band 10-FEET performs the opening theme song “Fortress Defense,” while singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi contributes the ending theme “Triangle.” Both songs are previewed in the promotional video.
Kazuki Yokoyama directs the new season at TMS Entertainment, with Masahiro Yokotani handling series composition. Manabu Nakatake, Asami Taguchi, and Junko Yamanaka are designing the characters, and Masaru Yokoyama composes the music.
Kobayashi began drawing the manga based on Naohiko Ueno’s original draft in Big Comic Spirits in January 2015, concluding its serialization in June 2025. Shogakukan published the 40th and final volume in August 2025.
