The second wave of the Haikyu!! “Mimashita Hanko” communication stamps has arrived, adding 20 new animal mascot designs to the lineup.
The stamp series was conceived from fan requests for seals that could be used when writing to teachers. With these stamps, you can convey “I saw it” through character and animal mascot illustrations, softening the recipient’s mood.
Haikyu!! is a sports manga by Furudate Haruichi that captures the passionate youth of high school volleyball players. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 for eight and a half years, with cumulative comic sales exceeding 75 million copies.
The TV anime started in 2014 and ran through its fourth season by December 2020, sweeping fans around the world into excitement and emotion.
The 2024 theatrical film Haikyu!! Gomisuteba no Kessen depicted Karasuno High’s clash with their longtime rivals Nekoma High. It grossed over 20 billion yen at the worldwide box office and won the Japan Academy Prize for Excellence in Animation. A sequel film, Haikyu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin, and a special anime, Haikyu!! Bakemono-tachi no Yuku Tokoro, are also in the works.
The updated stamp lineup includes 24 chibi character designs released earlier, plus 20 new animal mascots, for a total of 44 designs. Each press is bound to bring a smile.
The text that appears with the artwork can be chosen from seven phrases, such as “Mimashita,” “Sugoi!” and “OK!” Together, the 44 illustrations and 7 text choices allow for 308 customizable combinations.
The stamp measures 10 mm in diameter, with nine body colors and four ink colors to pick from.
