Stapola Wraps Up Zepp Tour with Guest Collabs and Radio Show Reveal

The 2.5-dimensional idol group Stapola has successfully completed their Zepp tour across Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. The tour, titled “StarLight PolaRis Summer Tour 2026『StarLoading now…!!』”, wrapped up with a final show that also brought the announcement of the group’s first terrestrial radio program, set to launch this autumn.

Tour Final Highlights

Stapola’s catchphrase is “The leading star that guides you.” The group name carries the meaning of becoming a North Star that leads fans through music. They are known for posting original songs with catchy melodies and heartfelt emotions, as well as cover song videos, live streams, and real-life performances. The tour took place from August to September, featuring performances in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. The setlist centered on songs from their first cover album “Ano Koro Selection!” released on August 12, along with signature original tracks and special collaborations with guest artists.

The show opened with a video that “loaded” each member’s personality, before the four took the stage. Standing in front of microphone stands with a music player-style panel behind them, they kicked off with the Heisei-era idol classic “Flying Get.” Their mature vocals, slick mic stand handling, and sharp dance moves showed a different side from their usual cute image, drawing loud cheers from the Polaris (Stapola’s fan name).

Switching to handheld mics, Kisaragi Yuu called out, “It’s the final! Burn the best view into your eyes!” before performing “Hatsukoi Cider.” The members sang while looking at each other, with Coe and Kottaro, and Kuni and Kisaragi Yuu, standing back-to-back. Their four distinct vocal ranges blended to express the fresh excitement and bittersweet longing of the song.

For “Hibana,” each member stepped onto a platform and delivered powerful vocals. Kottaro’s death growl was followed by headbanging from Coe, Kuni, and Kisaragi Yuu, bringing the rock number’s intensity to the stage.

Then came “Memeshikute,” featuring window-wiping jumps and full-stage choreography. During the interlude, a sudden tricycle race broke out between Kuni and Kottaro, with the loser Kuni receiving a slap on the butt with a harisen from Kisaragi Yuu as a penalty. The set showcased Stapola’s wide range, from rock to comedic moments.

Guest Collaborations

The middle section featured a series of guest collaborations. First up was Riu from Ireisu, who stepped in for Yuusuke, who was unable to appear due to health issues. Riu declared, “Since Yuusuke can’t be here, I’ll make this live twice—no, 100 times more exciting!” and performed “Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!)” with Kottaro. The two leaned back-to-back, traded ad-libs, and ended with a high-five.

Coe and Riu then teamed up for “Blue Ambience,” energetically working the crowd while trading vocals. They revealed they often sing this song at karaoke but never managed to harmonize well—until this performance, where they delivered a perfectly matched harmony. They ended with a cheerful “We’re Riu and Coe!” and a “hand-frog” pose.

Next, Erno and Wolpis Carter, from the adult male trio, joined Coe and Kottaro for “Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis.” After a relaxed chat, they launched into the song, using their individual vocal strengths to create a powerful exchange and harmony that brought out the song’s grand scale.

For “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari,” Shakey and Stun Gun from Crenoa performed alongside Kuni and Kisaragi Yuu. The four revealed that Kuni’s self-introduction call-and-response, “All citizens’ (boyfriend!) pet me (woof woof!)” originated from a stream they did together. Kisaragi Yuu expressed gratitude, saying, “Our kid has been taken care of!”

New Radio Show

After the guests left, the four members regrouped on stage. It was then announced that Coe and Kuni will host Stapola’s first terrestrial radio program, “Oshiete? Stapola Radio!” (Oshiete? Sutapora Radio!), starting this autumn. The show’s theme is “digging into the oshi’s oshi.” The first episode will feature Naiko, leader of Ireisu, as a guest, and the second will feature Kottaro. A public recording is also scheduled for December.

Encore and Finale

Changing into colorful outfits that reflected their image colors, the four switched into idol mode and performed their first original song under the new lineup, “Made in ME.” The song’s message—”It’s okay to become the person you want to be”—was delivered through earnest vocals and unified formation dance. Their performance, balancing individuality and unity, reflected their current “Chapter 1.5” and hinted at the upcoming Chapter 2.

The main set closed with “Now Loading!”, a key song for Chapter 1.5. The four embodied the song’s message of enjoying unexpected events and never giving up, symbolizing their current path of staying true to themselves amid change.

The encore began with “Chikyuu Saigo no Kokuhaku wo.” Kuni’s words—”Your existence is the most irreplaceable treasure. That’s why I’ll never let go of you who believed and followed me. Let’s go see even better views!”—struck a chord with the audience.

They then performed “First Star,” Stapola’s first original song. Coe said, “I want to keep singing this song from now on,” as the four sang while looking into each other’s eyes. Through this song, which they have sung since their formation, they conveyed their unwavering belief that they will always be the “leading star” for their fans, no matter how their activities evolve.

All the guests from the day returned for a final collaboration on “Ikenai Taiyou.” The summer-appropriate upbeat tune and one-night-only collaboration brightly colored the tour final.

After seeing off each guest with gratitude and respect, Coe called out to the audience, “Any songs you haven’t heard today? Don’t you think both kids and adults should babble?” leading into “Ogyaritai! Every Day.” The four, acting like babies, delivered a playful and adorable performance. From cool singing to comedic antics, they showed the freedom and approachability that defines Stapola’s live shows.

Finally, the four put their arms around each other and shouted, “Let’s do our best in Chapter 1.5 and Chapter 2, Stapola!”

No matter what obstacles or changes come their way, Stapola will continue to shine in their own way, as a guidepost and a beacon of hope for their Polaris fans.
