Nagasaki’s Huis Ten Bosch theme park resort is leveling up its Evangelion collaboration. The park, which already offers the 8K ride attraction “Evangelion: The Ride – 8K -” and the park-wide “Fortress City Huis Ten Bosch” experience, has announced a fresh wave of content arriving this winter.
The 8K ride attraction, which opened in April 2026, is Japan’s first Evangelion-themed ride of its kind. It combines ultra-high-definition 8K visuals with synchronized motion, putting guests on the front lines of an Angel attack. The pre-show and ride have earned high praise from visitors.
Upgraded NERV Sasebo Branch Hotel Room
The popular collaboration room at Hotel Den Haag—officially titled “NERV Sasebo Branch Staff Temporary Lodging Special Room”—is getting a significant upgrade. The room, which has been selling out daily, will now feature a bathroom designed around Pen Pen, the hot-spring penguin from the Evangelion series, along with new in-room surprises that deepen immersion into the world of the anime. The upgraded room is available for reservation starting September 11 at 12:00 JST.
Winter-Limited Collaboration Food
Park restaurants will also serve winter-only dishes inspired by the series. Highlights include Pen Pen’s Seafood Paella and Pen Pen’s Happiness Drink (with random coaster), as well as the Angel Interception Nagasaki Champon Set and Pattern Blue! Drink (with random coaster). Each menu item is crafted with care, from ingredient selection to flavor design, aiming to capture the look and taste of the Evangelion universe.
Exclusive Winter Merchandise
New NERV Sasebo Branch–spec winter goods will roll out as well. Among them is a special blanket design that fuses Huis Ten Bosch’s iconic Domtoren tower with Unit-01, plus a coach jacket and zip hoodie in NERV Sasebo Branch styling. Fans can also look forward to items featuring newly drawn illustrations of Shinji, Rei, and Asuka dressed in traditional Dutch costumes, created exclusively for the collaboration room.
Additionally, Takeshita Seika’s long-selling Kyushu favorite “Black Mont Blanc” is being turned into a crunch chocolate snack, packaged in a special Unit-01 design. These exclusive items make perfect souvenirs or gifts for fellow Evangelion fans.
The upgraded hotel room and new merchandise are part of the ongoing “Fortress City Huis Ten Bosch” event. While the room reservation opens on September 11, the new food items and most goods will be available from November 6. For full details, check the official special site.
