ABEMA, the “new future of TV,” is celebrating the season of sports with free marathon broadcasts of six popular sports anime series, beginning September 12, 2026. From baseball and volleyball to basketball and boxing, the lineup covers a wide range of athletic passions, all available to watch for free.
The featured titles include Major, which traces the life of a boy who dreams of becoming a professional baseball player; Haikyuu!!, set in the high school volleyball world and following the growth of Karasuno High’s volleyball team; and Kuroko no Basuke, a high-stakes look at high school basketball.
Further, the marathon includes Daiya no A, highlighting high school baseball players aiming for Koshien; Inazuma Eleven, following the growth of a struggling soccer team at Raimon Middle School; and Hajime no Ippo, featuring the rise of boxer Ippo Makunouchi.
With these six titles, ABEMA offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the unique intensity and youthful spirit of sports anime this autumn, all for free.
Broadcast Schedule
Haikyuu!!
Season 3 (10 episodes) and Season 4 (25 episodes) will be broadcast on ABEMA Anime 2 Channel. Season 3 airs on September 12 (Sat) from 5:30 PM and September 13 (Sun) from 11:30 AM. Season 4 airs on September 19 (Sat) from 3:30 PM and September 20 (Sun) from 4:00 AM. Episodes are available for free for one week after broadcast.
Major
All 6 series (154 episodes total) will be shown daily from September 14 (Mon) to September 27 (Sun) at 11:30 AM and 10:30 PM, on the Nostalgic Anime 00’s Channel. Each episode can be watched for free for one week after its broadcast.
Kuroko no Basuke
All three seasons plus OVAs are scheduled on ABEMA Anime 2 Channel. Season 1 (25 episodes + OVA) airs September 17 (Thu) from 3:00 PM. Season 2 (25 episodes + OVA) airs September 23 (Wed) from 3:00 PM and September 24 (Thu) from 4:00 AM. Season 3 (25 episodes + OVA) airs September 26 (Sat) from 9:15 PM and September 27 (Sun) from 9:30 PM. Free viewing for one week after broadcast applies to all seasons.
Inazuma Eleven
The three series (127 episodes total) will air daily from September 21 (Mon) to September 27 (Sun) at 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM on the Anime SPECIAL2 Channel. Additionally, Inazuma Eleven the Movie 2025 will broadcast on September 27 (Sun) at 11:00 PM and again at 1:00 AM, also on Anime SPECIAL2. Episodes are free for one week after broadcast.
Hajime no Ippo
The full marathon on the Family 2 Channel includes:
- Season 1 (76 episodes): September 21 (Mon) to September 26 (Sat) daily from 9:00 PM.
- TV Special Champion Road: September 26 (Sat) from midnight.
- OVA 間柴 vs 木村 死刑執行: September 26 (Sat) from 1:40 AM.
- Season 2 New Challenger (26 episodes): Episodes 1–3 on September 26 (Sat) from 2:50 AM; episodes 4–17 on September 27 (Sun) from 9:00 PM; episodes 18–26 on September 28 (Mon) from 9:00 PM.
- Season 3 Rising (25 episodes): Episodes 1–5 on September 28 (Mon) from 1:30 AM; episodes 6–15 on September 29 (Tue) from 6:00 PM; episodes 16–25 on September 29 (Tue) from 11:00 PM.
All broadcasts are free for one week after their initial airing.
Daiya no A
All four series (191 episodes) will be broadcast daily from September 27 (Sun) to October 10 (Sat) at 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the Anime SPECIAL2 Channel. Episodes are available for free for one week after broadcast.
