The official website for the television anime adaptation of Satou Midori‘s Kyoufu Collector novels revealed the main cast, staff, a key visual, and a teaser promotional video on Friday. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 10 at 11:45 p.m. on NHK-G.

Singer-songwriter Suga Shikao is performing the opening theme “Kageboushi,” which is previewed in the teaser video. He is also handling the ending theme.

The horror novels for kids, written by Tsuruta Norio and Satou Midori, began publication under Kadokawa’s Tsubasa Bunko label in June 2015. The 28th volume shipped on May 13. The series has over 1 million copies in circulation. Yuuki Niko drew a manga adaptation in Comic Gene from September 2021 to February 2022, released in a single volume in March 2022. Yen Press licenses both the novel and manga in English, and released the manga volume and the sixth novel volume in May 2025.
