The Nexon booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026 is doing more than just offering playable demos of two upcoming titles, Mabinogi Mobile and Fareidolia. It is designed as a place where visitors can step a little deeper into each game’s world, and the result is an eye-catching presence in Hall 7-C04.
After previously consulting a mysterious “gamer job-hunting agent” and trying out occupations from Mabinogi Mobile, this writer returned to the booth to find the pastoral warmth of Mabinogi Mobile and the cozy atmosphere of Fareidolia spread across the floor. With Mabinogi Mobile slated to begin service in Japan this year and Fareidolia offering its world-first playable demo, let’s take a closer look at what the Nexon booth has to offer.
Gather Around the Campfire with Mabinogi Mobile
The Mabinogi Mobile area is styled after the familiar starting village, Tir Chonaill, and the series’ iconic campfire. Looking across the space, visitors are wrapped in a soft, welcoming atmosphere as if they have actually arrived at the starting point of the game’s adventure.
A campfire object is also set up within the area. For the Mabinogi series, the campfire is not just decoration. It represents the experience of resting during an adventure, enjoying cooking and music, and spending time with companions—a symbol of the life and communication that have always been at the heart of the series. The booth makes it clear that Mabinogi’s adventure is not just about fighting monsters and moving forward, but also about living in a way unique to the franchise.
There is also a photo spot based on the goddess statue. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to reconnect with the series, and for newcomers, it feels like the beginning of a journey. The spot was busy even during the business days, and it offers a first commemorative photo opportunity before Mabinogi Mobile’s service begins.
At the Nexon booth, visitors can get an early taste of Mabinogi Mobile’s adventure. In the combat experience quest, players can choose from three classes—the fast-striking “Dual Blade,” the flame-controlling “Fire Mage,” and the graceful “Dancer”—and challenge a dungeon. The rebirth experience allows for character creation, and the dye experience lets players customize their character’s outfit using the familiar system from the Mabinogi series.
Those who try the demo and complete pre-registration will receive an original cooling towel. It’s a practical giveaway for a tradeshow floor.
A lottery campaign is also running on site, with prizes including mobile batteries and home projectors. Visitors can participate by following the official Mabinogi Mobile X account, taking a photo of the booth, scanning a QR code, and posting with the designated hashtag.
Step Into Fareidolia as a Visitor to Twilight Hall
The other major title is Fareidolia, a new game from IO DIVISION, the studio within Nexon known for Blue Archive. The booth area recreates the “Twilight Hall” located in the game’s Anima City. If Tir Chonaill is a peaceful village welcoming gentle people, this space invites visitors into a slightly mysterious place holding secrets.
From the building’s decorations to the displayed props and character visuals, visitors can feel as if they have been invited into Twilight Hall as a guest. The characters Mineh, Ohana, Shami, and the elevator girl are on hand to greet attendees.
One of the highlights of the Fareidolia area is the world-first playable demo. The game revolves around interacting with special-powered characters called “Mates,” and features rich 3D visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. In the demo, players take on the role of the reconstruction center chief and manager of Twilight Hall in the otherworldly “Anima City,” experiencing daily life with the Mates and facing the anomalies occurring in the city. The Twilight Hall, rendered in UE5, shows off realistic interiors, props, and lighting that bring a lived-in feel, making it easy to imagine living alongside the characters.
After exploration and combat, players can communicate with Mates at different times of day. The game also features a system where characters react to the player’s voice, increasing immersion beyond just watching. Combat uses a “live turn battle” system where enemies are constantly moving, requiring players to consider not only turn order but also timing and positioning for skills.
A participatory rock-paper-scissors contest with a favorite character is also available. Completing missions earns rewards such as an original cooling towel or a 15cm-diameter big can badge.
Journey Into Two Worlds at Nexon Booth Hall 7-C04
Mabinogi Mobile will launch in Japan on October 7, 2026 (Wednesday) for PC and mobile. Pre-registration has surpassed 200,000 players, and an additional reward tier for 250,000 has been confirmed.
Alongside the launch date announcement, campaigns offering Amazon gift cards and autographed signboards from the game’s voice actors have been announced. Check the pre-registration site and official Mabinogi Mobile X account for details.
Fareidolia is still awaiting further announcements on its release platforms and service start timing.
