Sanrio Characters Get Sunburned Jute Lunch Bags
Sanrio Characters has introduced jute lunch bags featuring sunburned designs of Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Pochacco. The bags pair a natural-textured jute exterior with a colorful floral-print interior.
2026 Sanrio Character Awards Results
The lineup arrives after the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards, where total votes reached 70,647,379 — 112% of the previous year’s total and a record high. Pompompurin took first place, collecting more than 7 million votes during its 30th anniversary year and earning the crown for a second consecutive year and fifth time overall.
Cinnamoroll, which had led the first preliminary standings, finished second. Pochacco placed third, followed by Kuromi in fourth and Hello Kitty in fifth. The results reflect continued support for characters loved by fans around the world.
Three Sunburned Designs
The new jute lunch bags are available in three designs: Hello Kitty Sunburn, Kuromi Sunburn, and Pochacco Sunburn. Each bag is made of jute (hemp) with a natural material feel and features a one-point embroidery of a sunburned character.
Hello Kitty Sunburn shows Hello Kitty on the front with a bright red flower. The interior has a pink-based floral pattern.
Kuromi Sunburn is accented by embroidered sunburned Kuromi, while the lining uses a colorful floral print.
Pochacco Sunburn features Pochacco embroidered on the front with a flower. The inside combines blue and floral patterns, offering a different atmosphere from the bag’s subdued exterior.
Each bag is priced at 2,420 yen (tax included). They are sold at Skater’s official online shop, including its main store and Rakuten store, as well as at mass retailers, specialty shops, and general merchandise stores nationwide.
The jute lunch bags combine sunburned Sanrio characters with bright floral patterns, making them easy to incorporate into daily lunchtime.
