Hobby Japan is bringing Katagiri Kanata’s Toyota 86 GT (ZN6) from MF Ghost to 1/64 scale, with two race-specific versions: the Odawara Pikes Peak specification and the Ashinoko GT specification. Both are priced at 4,290 yen (tax included) and are scheduled for release from May 2027 onward.

Two versions from key MFG races
The mini cars reproduce the Toyota 86 GT (ZN6) that appears in the series as die-cast, painted finished 1/64-scale display models. The Odawara Pikes Peak version is based on the car from MFG Round 1, with its distinctive coloring and markings recreated faithfully.

The Ashinoko GT version models the car from MFG Round 2. It features changes from the Round 1 design, including the gold-outlined “86” decals and dedicated wheels.

Both releases include a dedicated display base, a clear case, and a backboard designed with a battle scene from the story, giving fans a compact way to display the race atmosphere.

Preorders are being accepted at Post Hobby, Hobby Japan’s directly operated store, as well as at model shops nationwide. Each version is priced at 4,290 yen (tax included).

What is MF Ghost?
MF Ghost is based on Shigeno Shuichi’s car-racing manga, which ran in Young Magazine from 2017 to 2025. Set in the near future of Initial D, it follows Katagiri Kanata as he takes on MFG, a motorsport event held on real public roads.
The TV anime began in 2023. Its third season aired from January to March 2026, and production of MF Ghost Final Season, which will bring the story to its finale, has also been decided.
