Who are the characters whose image color is purple? Survey deadline May 30th

June is the season when hydrangeas are in full bloom.

These flowers, beloved in Japan for blooming during the rainy season, are a true symbol of June. As the kanji “紫陽花” (shiyouka) suggests, hydrangeas are strongly associated with the color purple, and their shade can even change depending on the soil’s acidity.

In the world of anime, many characters also have purple as their image color. Perhaps it’s a member color for a unit, maybe they frequently wear purple items, or maybe the character’s name even includes the kanji for “purple.” Historically, purple has been considered a color of high prestige, so it’s not uncommon to find characters who exude elegance and mystery associated with the color.

With that in mind, Anime! Anime! is conducting a reader survey titled “Which character has ‘purple’ as their image color?” for the first time in two and a half years. Please tell us which character you think fits this description and the name of their work in the free response format.
