The TV anime “Koukaku Kidoutai STAND ALONE COMPLEX” and graniph, which develops graphic items, have collaborated for the first time. Apparel and fashion goods featuring Motoko Kusanagi, Tachikoma, and more are now available for pre-order on the official online store until May 18, 2026.

Shirow Masamune’s SF manga “Koukaku Kidoutai” began serialization in “Young Magazine Zokan Kaizokuban” in 1989. Its world-building gained popularity, leading to multiple adaptations: the 1995 film “GHOST IN THE SHELL/Koukaku Kidoutai” (highly acclaimed overseas), the 2002 TV anime “Koukaku Kidoutai STAND ALONE COMPLEX” (26 episodes), the 2013 four-part film “Koukaku Kidoutai ARISE”, and the 2017 Hollywood film “Ghost in the Shell” starring Scarlett Johansson.
The new TV anime “Koukaku Kidoutai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL” is set to start on July 7, 2026, with series composition and script by author EnJoe Toh, and animation production by Science SARU.
In this collaboration between “Koukaku Kidoutai STAND ALONE COMPLEX” and graniph, iconic motifs from the work such as Motoko Kusanagi, Tachikoma, Public Security Section 9, and the Laughing Man are developed in rich designs. The lineup of 21 items beautifully incorporates the world of the series.

The “Major” Motoko Kusanagi, who leads Section 9’s field unit, is expressed in embroidery. On the back of the neck, a “Q.R.S. terminal” is rendered in a three-dimensional special print, and the hem features a cable-inspired motif. Hidden inside the pocket is an embroidered “wristwatch” that she has continued to wear despite changing cyberbodies.

The Tachikomas that fought to save Batou. The design depicts the memorable scene of them spotting Batou during their final attack, and the sleeve features the woven label phrase “Goodbye Batou-san”. Also noteworthy is the embroidery of Tachikoma and natural oil on the left chest.
