Manga artist Maguro Fujita updated her X on May 20, 2026, posting along with an illustration: “Streaming of the anime version of Kerokero Chaimu has begun exclusively on d Anime Store! Whether you’ve seen it or not, yoroshiku ne~.” The illustration depicts the protagonist Mimori, with the words “Please continue to support the original work as well.”
“Kerokero Chaimu” is a shoujo manga serialized in Ribon from November 1995 to May 1998. Mimori is a carefree princess of the frog clan living in Frog Country. One day, a boy named Aoi shows up after mistakenly entering Frog Country. Aoi has a spell on him that turns him into a frog when wet. The spell was cast by Mimori’s older brother Macael, who has been missing for half a year. To find the key to break the spell, Mimori sets out on a journey with Aoi into the unknown world.

The anime aired on TV Tokyo from March 6 to September 25, 1997. It gained popularity as a heartwarming comedic fantasy anime that can’t help but make you smile.
In response to the announcement, X users shared their joy: “Eeeeh! It’s the middle of the night but I screamed lol. I’m so happy it’s streaming!” “Congratulations!!!” “I’m so happy I could cry.” “Every otaku has been waiting for this.” “It’s so nostalgic it’s crazy!”
d Anime Store, where the anime will be streamed, is an anime-specific video streaming service operated by NTT Docomo. For a monthly fee of 660 yen (tax included), users can watch over 7,200 anime titles (as of May 2026). It boasts one of the largest anime lineups among specialized services. In addition to TV anime and theatrical films, it also offers a wide range of content for anime fans, including 2.5-dimensional stage plays, anime song concerts, and voice actor programs.

With a 31-day free trial, we recommend giving it a try.
