250 itasha cars from franchises including Uma Musume, Genshin Impact, and Re:Zero will gather at the itasha dress-up and meeting event “ARC Championship 2026.” The event is scheduled for May 24, 2026 (Sunday) at Okuibuki Motor Park & Event Venue (Grandsnow Okuibuki) in Shiga Prefecture.
Itasha are cars decorated with stickers or paint featuring characters or logos from manga, anime, or games. This is a form of personal fan activity for anime and games. The featured characters are often moe-style beautiful girls, commonly referred to as “2D” illustrations. They are also called moesha.
“ARC Championship 2026” will display a total of 250 itasha cars. Alongside a meeting for itasha enthusiasts, general viewing is free, and admission is free of charge.
Regardless of car model or genre, all vehicles feature printed characters from manga, anime, or games. The lineup includes itasha from the horse-girl raising simulation game “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby,” the action RPG “Genshin Impact,” “Love Live!” about school idols, as well as VTuber itasha from HoloLive and ita-bikes.
Also on display are itasha from popular titles such as the vocaloid Hatsune Miku, “The Idolmaster,” “Kantai Collection” (Kancolle), “Fate,” “Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World,” “Blue Archive,” and “Spy x Family.” There are also one-box cars with large prints on both sides, making them highly photogenic even for those unfamiliar with anime or manga.
Past events have gathered itasha from across Japan, from Aomori in the north to Kagoshima in the south. A dress-up contest is planned where visitors can vote on the displayed cars, with trophies awarded to winners. Additionally, you can enjoy the colorful itasha that have appeared at previous events, including one-box cars, convertibles, kei cars, and ita-bikes.
At past events, a vehicle from Nintendo’s popular game “Splatoon” was also displayed. The overwhelming quality of these itasha, which goes beyond mere hobby, raises expectations.
