MAGES. has announced that the speculative science adventure game STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will launch on August 20, 2026. New store-specific purchase bonus illustrations have been unveiled, along with details of the limited and super limited edition contents. A pre-order campaign at the upcoming orchestra concert on May 31 has also been revealed.
Originally released in 2009 on Xbox 360, the STEINS;GATE series has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a full reboot with significant updates. The scenario is based on STEINS;GATE ELITE but adjusted for a more streamlined and readable pace, and includes new world-line and ending scenarios. All voices and sound have been re-recorded, graphics refined, and character animations use the next-generation E-mote tool to bring characters to life like never before.
The newly released store bonus illustrations feature the lab members in bikini swimsuits: Shiina Mayuri, Makise Kurisu, Amane Suzuha, Faris NyanNyan, Kiryu Moeka, and Urushibara Ruka. These are exclusive to specific retailers. Animate, Big Camera・Akiba☆Sofmap, Yodobashi Camera, and Gamers each have their own original illustrations. Fans are encouraged to pre-order early to secure them.
Limited Edition and Super Limited Edition Contents
The limited edition includes a soundtrack DVD-ROM containing the game’s BGM in both mp3 and FLAC formats. Additionally, it includes the Blu-ray and DVD of the “STEINS;GATE 15th LIVE – ONE WORLD -” event held in October 2024, featuring about 2 hours 30 minutes of footage with subtitles in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The super limited edition (complete limited production) includes a high-definition framed illustration by huke, the “STEINS;GATE ALL COMPLETE SOUNDTRACK” DVD-ROM, a “STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT VISUAL COLLECTION”, the “STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT SOUNDTRACK DVD-ROM”, and the 15th LIVE Blu-ray & DVD.
Orchestra Concert Pre-Order Campaign
On May 31, 2026, from 11:00 to 18:00 at the 4th floor Reception Hall of Mori no Hall 21 in Chiba Prefecture, the first STEINS;GATE orchestra concert, “STEINS;GATE Inga Senritsu no Symphony”, will take place. At the venue, attendees who have pre-ordered any edition of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT (super limited, limited, or regular) can receive a non-commercial B2 promotional poster on a first-come, first-served basis. Proof of pre-order (receipt or email) must be shown. Only one poster per person, while stock lasts. Note that no pre-orders will be taken at the venue.
