The series is based on the light novel written by Nakamura Satsuki with illustrations by Yukiya, published under Ichijinsha Novels. A manga adaptation by Ohi Hitsuji runs in Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM. The novel won the Light Novel category at the “Cmoa Minna ga Erabu 2023 E-Comic Taishō” and ranked first in the “BookLive Annual Ranking 2023” for female-oriented light novels. The manga adaptation was nominated for the Works Award and Supporting Actress Award at the “Magademy Award 2023” for Zhu Huiyue, and was featured in the “Rakuten Kobo Electronic Book Award 2024 / Must-Read Now! The newly released key visual, drawn by character designer Kikuchi Ai, brings together the story’s central figures—Reirin and Huiyue—alongside key characters Yao Ming, Chen Yu, Lili, Qing Jia, Fang Chun, and Ge Chui. The composition highlights their relationships and the drama to come.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting on July 12.
