An epic clash from the hit anime Kill la Kill has been immortalized in a stunning new 1/4 scale statue. The “Ultimate Premium Masterline Kill la Kill Ryuko Matoi vs. Satsuki Kiryuin Bonus Version” is now available for pre-order, with shipping expected between September and December 2027.
Originally aired in 2013, Kill la Kill is an original TV anime directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima, the same creative team behind Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. The story follows high school student Ryuko Matoi as she investigates her father’s death and battles against students wielding special “Goku Uniforms” in a hot-blooded, outrageous school action spectacle.
The statue is based on the package illustration from the game Kill la Kill: The Game -If-. It captures the fierce confrontation between Ryuko and Satsuki: Satsuki leaps high into the air, delivering a slashing attack, while Ryuko braces herself to block and counter. The dynamic diagonal composition is enhanced with dramatic background effects and debris, creating a sense of depth and motion.
Facial expressions are meticulously crafted, from the angle of the eyebrows to the overall likeness. Satsuki’s Kamui Junketsu features a luxurious pearl finish, while Ryuko’s Kamui Senketsu is painted in deep crimson against a rich blue. The weapons—Basami and the Bakuzan—are also rendered with careful attention to texture and material differences.
At 1/4 scale, the statue stands 62 cm tall, 45 cm wide, and 33 cm deep, weighing approximately 12.4 kg. Made primarily of polystone with some other materials, the piece utilizes advanced sculpting and coloring techniques that highlight exquisite detail from every angle.
The special base evokes the setting of Honnouji Academy, with scattered rubble and cross-shaped flashes that replicate the anime’s signature visual effects. A massive cross rises from the back of the base, equipped with a built-in LED unit that emits a dazzling light to heighten the sense of realism and intensity.
This “Bonus Version” includes an acrylic block engraved with the statue’s title in the iconic bold font from the series, adding an extra collector’s touch to the display.
The statue is limited to only 400 units worldwide, priced at ¥247,390 (tax included). It is available exclusively via Prime 1 Studio’s official online store in Japan. The LED unit’s power method is yet to be determined; batteries or a USB cable may be required separately.
With meticulous sculpting, vibrant coloring, and a dramatic lighting effect, this statue promises to bring the heat of the battle between Ryuko and Satsuki right into collectors’ homes.
