The TV anime Yuri!!! on ICE, which first aired in October 2016, marks its 10th anniversary this year. To celebrate, a newly commissioned 10th anniversary visual has been unveiled, along with the announcement of a special Blu-ray & CD BOX and a large-scale exhibition event scheduled for this winter.
The anniversary visual, drawn by character designer Hiramatsu Yoshifumi, depicts the six skaters who competed in the Grand Prix Final of the TV series: protagonist Katsuki Yuuri, Yuri Plisetsky, Otabek Altin, Christophe Giacometti, Jean-Jacques Leroy, and Phichit Chulanont, along with Yuuri’s coach and five-time world champion, Viktor Nikiforov. The scene captures the free skating portion of the Final, with each skater’s emotions and determination visible in their expressions and movements — a moment that embodies the figure skating beauty that the series brought to audiences worldwide.
The original concept for Yuri!!! on ICE was created by Kubo Mitsurou and Yamamoto Sayo. Produced by MAPPA, the series aired from October to December 2016 on TV Asahi and other stations. It gained acclaim for its realistic skating choreography by Miyamoto Kenji, who worked on programs for many real-world skaters, and for its innovative camera angles and dynamic animation that brought new life to figure skating on screen.
10th Anniversary Blu-ray & CD BOX
Alongside the visual, a limited-edition 10th Anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray & CD BOX is set for release on December 23, 2026, priced at 38,000 yen (tax excluded) / 41,800 yen (tax included). The box includes:
- Blu-ray 4-disc set: Discs 1-2 contain episodes 1-12 with commentary, Disc 3 includes special footage such as choreography videos by Miyamoto Kenji, non-credit opening/endings, and Yuri Plisetsky’s exhibition, plus a newly recorded collaboration skating video with Stéphane Lambiel. Disc 4 features the concert event Yuri!!! on CONCERT.
- CD 5-disc set: Includes the original skate song collection Oh! Sukutora!!! Yuri!!! on ICE with opening theme “History Maker” by DEAN FUJIOKA and ending theme “You Only Live Once”, the original soundtrack, and live CDs from the concert, plus a bonus disc with “Yuri on ICE” by Umetarou.
- Encased bonuses: A special booklet, illustration card set (using Kubo Mitsurou’s existing art), a ticket-style card, Yuuri’s jump composition memo, and a mock press release article.
Notably, the box includes a new collaboration video featuring Stéphane Lambiel — the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic silver medalist and coach of Shoma Uno, who also appeared as a live reporter in the original anime. In this exclusive footage, Lambiel performs Yuuri’s free skating routine, a one-of-a-kind piece created for the 10th anniversary.
Large-Scale Exhibition This Winter
In addition to the box set, a large exhibition event is planned for winter 2026. Further details will be announced at a later date.
Sticker Campaign at Fantasy on Ice 2026
Fans attending Taiyo Seimei Presents Fantasy on Ice 2026 in MAKUHARI on May 30 and 31, 2026, can receive a special sticker featuring the 10th anniversary visual. The stickers will be distributed at the Makuhari Event Hall from opening time until the start of the performance, on a first-come, first-served basis (one per person, limited quantity). Posters of the anniversary visual will also be displayed at the venue.
