The second wave of voice-guided wireless earphones for Mononoke the Movie is now available. Orders are being accepted for a limited time.
Mononoke the Movie is based on the television series that originally aired in the 2000s and has maintained a strong fan following. It follows the mysterious Medicine Seller as he travels across the land to quell strange occurrences caused by Mononoke—spirits born from human obsessions and grudges. A brand-new theatrical trilogy began in 2024. The first film, Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa, enjoyed an extraordinary long theatrical run. The sequel, Mononoke the Movie: Chapter Two – Hinezumi, was released in March 2025 and earned praise domestically for its accelerating story, deeper character portrayal, and evolved visuals. It also won the Audience Award for Best Animated Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada for two consecutive installments.
On May 29, 2026, Mononoke the Movie: Chapter Three – Hebi no Kami will open nationwide in Japan. This chapter delves into the “greatest secret” long hidden within the inner chambers of the Edo Castle. The truth behind the palace’s creation and the sorrowful, fierce emotions that intersect across time come to light. When the Medicine Seller confronts this truth, the most terrifying Mononoke in the series appears, shaking the palace to its core. The battle leads to an ending no one could imagine.
Now, Mononoke the Movie has collaborated with the fully wireless earphones “CP-TWS01B.”
This model features newly recorded voice guidance (7 words total) by Shin’i (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi), supervised by the series’ general director Nakamura Kenji. The charging case top is designed with a silhouette of Shin’i, while the left and right housings carry a pattern motif inspired by Shin’i. A chirimen-style drawstring pouch designed to resemble Shin’i’s kimono is included as an accessory.
The wireless earphone voice guidance includes phrases such as “Purify… Pacify…” when powering on and “I will cut you down” when disconnecting.
A wireless charger featuring a Mononoke the Movie collaboration design has also been announced.
The products will be available for pre-order at ONKYODIRECT starting Friday, May 29 at 15:00.
