The July 2026 issue of Bessatsu Shounen Magazine (Betsuma) went on sale June 9, featuring Tsue to Ken no Wistoria on the cover and a center color spread. The TV anime’s second season is currently airing, and the magazine showcases the characters in swimsuits under a bright blue sky.

Inside, the center color pages depict Will and the others enjoying a brief vacation. A special feature reveals the process behind the ending illustrations for episodes 15 and 16, which received a strong response, including original drawings by Aoi Sei. A present campaign gives away original clear files featuring the center color illustration to 50 winners by lottery; entry requires the application ticket from the print edition.

Two new serializations launch in this issue. The first is I Hate You (Ai Hei Chuu), a lighthearted comedy by Nagato Tomohiro, known for Shouriteki ni Shinde Kure and Dairoku Sense. The story revolves around three girls — including a maid and a girl with horns — and a demon-versus-human confrontation described as the worst “spear vs. shield” clash ever. A similar clear file giveaway is available for this series.

The second new series is Dungeon no Sokuryoushi ~Chizu de Musou suru Dungeon Kouryaku~ (Dungeon Surveyor: Dominating Dungeons with Maps), based on an original work by Uratani Mizuki and illustrated by Katou Gen. It passed Betsuma’s “Revenge Name Competition” and appears as a center color feature. The story follows a man who walks ahead of the hero, spreading a map and smiling — just who is he?

Additionally, the issue includes center color spreads for two other series: Himekishi wa Barbarian no Yome (currently airing its TV anime) and Omae ga Yattan Daro! (celebrating its first volume release). Both also have present campaigns in the print edition.
