
Sanrio’s beloved golden retriever Pompompurin is heading to Paris – in style, that is. A special collaboration with French lifestyle brand ELLE has produced a limited-edition collection, which will debut at a pop-up event at Ginza Mitsukoshi starting June 17, 2026.
Pompompurin is a laid-back golden retriever boy with a dark brown beret as his trademark. He loves going out, hates being left at home, and has a hobby of collecting shoes – one each of his owner’s leather boots and sandals, hidden away. His skills include napping, doing the “Pudding Exercise,” and making friends with anyone. His dream for the future is to grow even bigger.
30th Anniversary Celebration
This collaboration was conceived as part of Pompompurin’s 30th anniversary year in 2026. ELLE, founded in France in 1945 and known for encouraging free self-expression across generations, pairs perfectly with Pompompurin’s easygoing, independent personality.
The collection imagines Pompompurin on a trip to Paris, incorporating ELLE’s signature marinière (marine stripe) style into a French-chic aesthetic. The result is a series of exclusive items that capture a unique, never-before-seen side of the character.
