The long-awaited television debut of the previously unaired episode from Osomatsu-san season 4 has been confirmed. Episode 13, titled “Za Matsunoten”, will air for the first time on TV on June 13, 2026. New scene cuts have also been released, giving fans a fresh look at the episode.
Background
Osomatsu-san is based on Akatsuka Fujio’s classic gag manga Osomatsu-kun. The anime portrays the sextuplet brothers as lazy, jobless adults. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, followed by the second season from October 2017 to March 2018. A theatrical film, Eiga no Osomatsu-san, released in March 2019. The third season ran from October 2020 to March 2021, and anniversary projects including Osomatsu-san: Hipipo-zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu (2022) and Osomatsu-san: Tamashii no Takoyaki Party to Densetsu no Otomari-kai (2023) screened nationwide. Season 4 aired from July to September 2025, frequently trending on X (formerly Twitter). The series celebrated its 10th TV anime anniversary on October 6, 2025, with further developments anticipated.
Episode Details
“Za Matsunoten” was not broadcast during the original season 4 run. Instead, it received a limited theatrical screening as part of the “10th ANNIVERSARY OSOMATSUSAN SPECIAL 6DAYS” event, where it drew attention from fans. Now, responding to audience demand, the episode is finally being released for TV and digital platforms.
Streaming began on June 12, 2026 at 0:00 JST across multiple services. The TV premiere will take place on June 13 at 9:30 AM on the TV Tokyo network’s six stations, with additional broadcasts on AT-X on June 20 at 8:30 PM (including repeats).
