Get Ready for “Light Novel Anime” Anthology Project Arriving Summer 2025!
Big news for light novel fans! An exciting new anime anthology project, simply titled “Light Novel Anime,” is on its way, set to premiere in Summer 2025. This project brings four original stories penned by popular light novel authors to the screen, each in a short, roughly five-minute episode format. An official website just launched, giving us a peek at the staff behind each unique tale and dropping an announcement promo.
The studio bringing this collection to life is Ziine Studio, handling the animation for all four shorts.
First Look: Vertical Format Streaming
Before the full TV broadcast, the first two shorts, *Shoushin Time Leap* and *Femme Fatale Ikusei Keikaku*, will debut in a vertical video format. These segmented episodes are rolling out in parts over the next ten days on the project’s official channels. You can also catch these vertical versions on streaming platforms BUMP and Tatedra.
Television Broadcast Details
For those who prefer the traditional screen, all four episodes will be re-edited and broadcast as part of the ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block. The TV premiere is scheduled for July 13, 2025, at 2:00 a.m. JST, airing on ABC TV and TV Asahi’s 24 affiliated stations.

Shoushin Time Leap
This short is based on the original work by Nigojuu, known for writing **Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru.** Nigojuu is also handling the series composition and script for this adaptation, with script cooperation from Maruto Fumiaki, who worked on **Engage Kiss**. Murata Tomoyasu, who directed **Haikyuu!! (OVA)**, is directing this short, and tanu, the original character designer for **Rolling☆Girls**, is handling character design. Hagiwara Takeshi serves as Literary Director, Ootera Fumihiko is the Sound Director, and Umase Misaki is contributing the Main Theme.
