Newly drawn illustrations of Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka for the Animate exclusive bonuses for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns have been unveiled.
The original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Comics with over 220 million copies in circulation, has been adapted into an anime by ufotable. The series began with the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in April 2019. The Infinity Castle Arc, set in the demons’ stronghold, depicts the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, and is being produced as a trilogy. The first chapter, Infinity Castle Chapter 1: Akaza Returns, opened in theatres on July 18, 2025.
The newly released illustration captures a dynamic moment with Tanjiro and Giyu standing back-to-back, each unleashing their techniques in mid-battle.
This illustration will be used on the A5 charafine graph (included in the Animate limited set, for the complete production limited edition only), the A3 clear poster and can badge set (Animate bonus for the complete production limited edition), and the postcard (Animate bonus for the regular edition).
Additionally, a commemorative fair titled “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns Blu-ray & DVD Release Fair” will be held at all Animate stores and online. The fair runs in two parts: Part 1 from July 28 to August 28, 2026, and Part 2 from August 29 to September 27, 2026. Part 1 offers bromides (7 types), while Part 2 offers clear bookmarks (7 types). The featured characters include Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Kanao Tsuyuri, Komaji, and Koyuki.
During the campaign, for every ¥1,100 (tax included) spent on or pre-ordered Demon Slayer merchandise (or for each audio/visual product purchased or pre-ordered under the same conditions), customers receive one bonus item. Purchasing the complete production limited edition of the movie (including the Animate limited set) grants the full set of 7 items.
