Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s Deep Ties to Anime
Formed in 2013, the three-piece band—Fujisawa Ryoka (keyboards), Ohmori Motoki (vocals/guitar), and Wakai Kouto (guitar)—has a long history with anime theme songs. Starting with “Speaking” as the ending theme for Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V in 2015, they have since contributed opening and ending themes for many series, including:
- “On My MiND” for Nana Maru San Batsu
- “Inferno” for Enen no Shouboutai
- “Lilac” for Boukyaku Battery
- “Kusushiki” for Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Season 2
- “lulu.” for Sousou no Frieren Season 2
With such a strong anime connection, it’s no surprise that Ohmori’s request resonated with both fans and fellow anime lovers. Whether he’ll manage to watch every recommended series remains to be seen, but for anyone looking to get into a summer mood, the list that poured in is a great starting point.
