What is Gridman Universe?
Gridman Universe is a completely original theatrical anime film that brings together the characters and worldviews of two previous works: SSSS.GRIDMAN, the first animated installment aired in 2018 which is based on the tokusatsu drama “Denkou Choujin Gridman”, and SSSS.DYNAZENON, the second installment aired in 2021.
The story kicks off when Hibiki Yuta and his classmates, now second-year students at Toritsu Tsutsujidai Koukou, face a new crisis. Their ordinary lives are suddenly interrupted by the appearance of Gridman, the Crimson Strong Dragon Dynarex, the Shin Seiki Chuugakusei, and Asanaka Yomogi, a resident from another world. The film premiered in March 2023 and later received MX4D screenings, allowing fans to experience the action in a whole new way.
