Handling the overall direction for the anime is director Koga Kazuomi, known for his work on Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai. The animation production is being handled by studio **Blade**. The series composition and scriptwriting falls to Machida Touko, who has also worked on series like Loop 7-kaime no Akuyaku Reijou wa, Moto Tekikoku de Jiyuu Kimama na Hanayome Seikatsu wo Mankitsu suru. Designing the characters for the show is Satou Katsuyuki, recognized for his character designs in Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano datta.
About the Series: From Light Novel to Anime
The original **Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni dake Uzai** story began as a light novel series written by Mikawa Ghost with illustrations by Tomari (illustrator for Spy Kyoushitsu). The light novel launched under the **GA Bunko** imprint back in April 2019. Often abbreviated as **ImoUza**, the series saw its 11th volume published by **SB Creative** on March 15.
Fans of the series can also enjoy a manga adaptation drawn by Hiraoka Hira. This adaptation started its run on the **Manga UP!** web magazine in December 2019. **Square Enix** released the ninth compiled volume of the manga on March 7.
English Release Information
For international fans, **J-Novel Club** licensed the light novel series for English distribution in November 2020, releasing the eighth volume in August 2023. The manga adaptation is also available in English courtesy of **Square Enix**, which began publishing it digitally via its **Manga UP!** and **Comikey** platforms in October 2023.
