Sanrio has unveiled a new lineup of accessories covered in generous glitter: the “Sanrio Characters Glitter Series.” The collection includes hair clips, bun clips, and charms, all set to roll out from late June 2026.
The announcement comes as the “2026 Sanrio Character Ranking” is underway. In the latest intermediate results, Pompompurin took the top spot after reclaiming first place last year for the first time in nine years. Cinnamoroll (second in 2025) and Pochacco (third in 2025) followed in second and third, respectively, with strong international support.
The new Glitter Series features a chunky glitter finish. The hair clips come in packs of two, perfect for holding bangs or during makeup. Eight character designs are available: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Charmy Kitty, Sugar Bunnies, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and My Sweet Piano.
The bun clips are designed for quickly tying up hair, adding a sparkling accent to any outfit. Seven characters are offered: Hello Kitty, Tiny Chum, My Melody, My Sweet Piano, Charmy Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll.
Rounding out the series are glitter charms, each featuring a small mirror. They can be attached to bags or pouches for an extra touch of glamour. The charm lineup includes seven characters: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Charmy Kitty, Sugar Bunnies, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll.
