Popular Drama ‘VIVANT’ Gets Audiobook Adaptation Narrated by Ono Kenshou! Features Over 50 Voiced Roles

This production features the voice talent of voice actor and actor Ono Kenshou, who takes on the ambitious task of voicing over 50 characters! The “Nichiyou Gekijou ‘VIVANT’ Novelization” is a full-fledged mystery novel based on the immensely popular drama VIVANT, which aired on TBS in 2023 as part of their “Nichiyou Gekijou” (Sunday Theatre) block. The original story and direction were handled by Fukuzawa Katsuo. The story follows Nogi Yuusuke, an employee of a major trading company. One day, he finds himself embroiled in a misdirected funds incident and heads to the small Central Asian country of Balka Republic to resolve it. As he risks everything to chase the large sum of money, the shadow of a secret organization operating globally begins to emerge.
For the production of this audiobook, TBS Television’s drama department collaborated with TBS Radio. This partnership allowed for the inclusion of numerous sound effects actually used in the drama itself. Listeners can look forward to an immersive experience that pulls them right into the world of VIVANT.
Taking on the formidable role of narrator for this work is Ono Kenshou, a voice actor and actor known for his roles as Harry Potter in the Japanese dub of the “Harry Potter” series, as well as popular anime like Kuroko no Basket, SPY×FAMILY, and JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Ougon no Kaze. He single-handedly performs all the voices for the narrator, characters, and even the leader of the organization – truly over 50 distinct roles! Listeners can fully appreciate Ono-san‘s incredible expressive range, showcasing different voices for each character, emotional fluctuations, and intense delivery of tense lines.
