Second Season Announced
The 13th and final episode of Snowball Earth aired on Friday, and with it came the news that a second season is in production. The official website also released a promotional video and a celebratory illustration to mark the occasion.
Produced by Studio KAI, the first season premiered on April 3. Crunchyroll simulcasted the series with subtitles in multiple languages and an English dub.
Manga Background
The anime adapts the action sci-fi manga by Yuuhirou Tsujitsugu, which began serialization in Gekkan! Spirits magazine in January 2021. Shogakukan published the 11th volume on April 1. The series has a cumulative 800,000 copies in print.
VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release in June 2023 and published the eighth volume on February 17. The ninth volume is scheduled for release on August 18.
